La Paz, May 1 (AN/YPFB).- The president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, announced today the discovery of a reservoir in the Yope-X1 well, located in the municipality of Yapacaní in the department of Santa Cruz.

“I want to announce the discovery of the Yope-X1 well, a project that was completed thanks to the exploration process. (…) We ratify on this occasion that we are the government of the people and for the people, we are the government of industrialization”, said the First President during his speech in commemoration of Labor Day.

The project will be of national benefit, because according to the market study, investments in exploration and exploitation activities will increase the production of hydrocarbons,

The drilling of the Yope-X1 (YOP-X1) well reached a depth of more than 3,000 meters. It is located in the municipality of Yapacaní, belonging to the Ichilo province of the department of Santa Cruz. Nearby are the Yarará field as well as the Víbora, Cascabel and Boquerón fields, which confirmed the production of hydrocarbons in the Petaca and Yantata formations.
