Procurement call issued for Ecuador's oil refineries
Ecuador’s national oil company Petroecuador has launched a new tender to modernize and expand the fire control systems at its three refineries.
The last process was declared void because the offers submitted by Planificación y Diseños de Ingeniería-Gasscoin, Betatronic and Ingeniería, Montajes y Construcciones del Ecuador-Verificadora Técnica Industrial Sacs & Asociados did not fulfill requirements.
The consultancy work entails carrying out prefeasibility and conceptual engineering for the systems at Esmeraldas (110,000b/d), La Libertad (45,000b/d) and Shushufindi (20,000b/d).
Proposals for the US$1.72mn, 210-day contract are due by January 23, according to procurement information.
