In line with its policy of decentralization of private investment, the Private Investment Promotion Agency – PROINVERSIÓN organized the “Huancavelica Invierte” Forum to promote a portfolio of 13 projects identified by the Regional Government of Huancavelica and the District Municipality of Ascensión, with a joint investment of S/ 905 million.

The projects to be developed through Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Asset Projects (PA) and Works for Taxes (OxI), will reduce the gap in infrastructure and public services in key sectors such as transportation, tourism, housing, production and sports.

In that sense, the regional governor of Huancavelica Leoncio Huayllani Taype, presented 8 Asset Projects in Tourism and Production and a Public-Private Partnership project for the construction of a regional airport for S/ 748 million of reference investment; as well as an initiative in Works for Taxes for S/ 118.8 million.

In turn, the district mayor of Ascensión, Oscar Ramírez Trucios, promoted another 2 Asset Projects for S/ 31 million, referring to the food market and the creation of a high-performance sports center. Just as he presented a citizen security project to be executed through Works for Taxes for S/ 8 million.

The initiatives were identified with the technical support of PROINVERSIÓN, within the framework of the agency's decentralization strategy, which consists of providing support to subnational entities and promoting initiatives of social impact and public value.

The executive director of PROINVERSIÓN, José Salardi , reiterated the agency's commitment to decentralize investment promotion, hand in hand with regional and local authorities of Huancavelica and the private sector, to generate infrastructure and public services for the benefit of the population.

The event also included the participation of the Vice Minister of Economy, Daniel Barco; and the director of Decentralized Investments of PROINVERSIÓN, Denisse Miralles, among other officials.

PROINVESTMENT IN HUANCAVELICA

It should be noted that, to date, PROINVERSIÓN awarded 7 PPP initiatives in Huancavelica for US$ 1,192 million and 5 Asset Projects that reached US$ 707 million, in energy, education, communications, mining, sanitation, security and management, among others. .

Also, 9 Tax Works projects were awarded for S/ 66 million for the Police Service and citizen security, drinking water, sanitation and improvement of the technical-physical conditions of the Colcabamba Civic Center.

For this year, PROINVERSIÓN considers 3 projects in its portfolio to benefit the Huancavelica region, which will require a total of US$ 472 million of investment in the Longitudinal de la Sierra Highway Section 4 (US$ 359 million), Ferrocarril Huancayo Huancavelica (US$ 113 million) and Road Corridor 1 (US$ 132 million).
