PROINVERSIÓN will award 31 projects in its 2025 portfolio for more than US$ 7.8 billion

On the agenda for 2025. The Private Investment Promotion Agency – PROINVERSIÓN plans to award 31 infrastructure and service improvement projects through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Asset Projects (PA) that will generate an estimated investment of US$ 7,893 million.

PROINVERSIÓN's executive director, José Salardi, commented that there is a very interesting portfolio for 2025, where 75% is made up of nine road projects for US$2,828 million, as well as three real estate projects for US$1,827 million and eight sanitation projects that together will add up to investments of US$1,231 million.

Among them, Salardi highlighted the Longitudinal de la Sierra Section 4 (US$1.582 million) whose award is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025 and will benefit 1.6 million inhabitants in Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho and Apurímac through the rehabilitation, construction, improvement and maintenance of the road for 25 years through a co-financed Public-Private Partnership.

As well as seven Group 1 road corridors for US$1,134 million (Cusco, Cerro de Pasco, Puno, Moquegua, Tarma, Huancayo and Tarapoto) and the Zapallal – Avenida Gambeta road (tunnel) in the port of Callao (US$112 million).

In real estate, Salardi explained that the portfolio includes the Ancón Industrial Park (PIA) with an estimated US$ 997 million, the Peninsula del Puerto del Pacifico (US$ 767 million) and the Pan-American Village (US$ 63 million).

Meanwhile, the sanitation portfolio is made up of seven Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) for US$ 1,061 million, located in Cajamarca, Cusco, Chincha, Huancayo, Puerto Maldonado, San Martín, Trujillo. As well as the Ilo desalination plant (US$ 170 million) that could benefit residents currently affected by water stress by providing drinking water.

Also Health and Tourism

In 2025, the agency will also prioritize five projects in Health and Tourism for US$ 1,257 million that will be awarded through Public-Private Partnerships. These include the modernization of infrastructure and services of the new Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital – HEVES for US$ 290 million, the San Borja Children's Health Institute for US$ 125 million, and the new Central Military Hospital for US$ 224 million, which will seek private investment through Co-financed State and Private Initiatives.

And, in tourism, the "Improvement of Public Tourist Services of the Choquequirao Archaeological Park", which will represent an investment of US$ 265 million (without VAT) and "Operation and Maintenance of the Lima Convention Center" which considers US$ 354 million.

The portfolio of 31 projects includes other projects such as the award of the Chimbote Port Terminal (US$ 331 million), Construction of new Educational Infrastructure for Schools at Risk in Metropolitan Lima – CER (US$ 285 million) and Group 3 of electrical projects (US$ 134 million).
