
PROINVERSIÓN will award four projects via Public-Private Partnerships for more than US$400 million

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) reports that, in the remainder of 2022, it will award four Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, for an amount of US$400 million, for the benefit of thousands of Peruvian families.
The projects that would be awarded until December 2022 are:
- Piura Nueva Frontera Transmission Line (US$ 217 million), which aims to provide energy security to the northern part of the country.
- Link Ica – Poroma (US$ 56 million), which will facilitate the transport of energy generated with renewable resources.
- ITC Cáclic - Jaén electrical project (US$ 74 million), which will make it possible to give greater reliability to the energy system in the northeastern part of the country.
- PTAR Puerto Maldonado (whose current amount is US$59 million), which will ensure the treatment of wastewater in the city of Puerto Maldonado, reducing the impact on the Madre de Dios and Tambopata rivers.
"In each of these projects we are working in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the granting ministries (Ministry of Energy and Mines, and the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation) and the regulators to award according to the established schedule", commented the executive director of PROINVERSIÓN, Rafael Ugaz.
Currently, the prioritized portfolio of PPPs and Projects in Assets in PROINVERSIÓN amounts to more than US$ 9,000 million, which includes projects distributed nationwide and in the sectors of sanitation, education, health, tourism, transportation, energy, communications, among others. others. By 2023, PROINVERSION plans to award 13 projects for more than US$3.4 billion, and the approval of declarations of interest for 12 projects for US$3.6 billion.
