The tendering process will begin tomorrow for the project for the treatment and final disposal or reuse of wastewater from Chincha – PTAR Chincha, which will benefit 345,000 residents in seven districts of this province, located in the Ica region.
With a reference investment of US$ 96.5 million, the project will treat and dispose of wastewater generated in the districts of Chincha Alta, Chincha Baja, Grocio Prado, Pueblo Nuevo, Alto Larán, Sunampe and Tambo de Mora through the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of approximately 21 km of main collection networks and pumping lines, a pumping station, two new treatment plants of 0.6 cubic meters per second in total, as well as 7.7 km of lines for the final disposal of treated wastewater.
In February, four electrical transmission and substation projects included in Group 3 will be awarded for US$134 million, which are aimed at strengthening the supply of electrical energy and providing greater reliability and capacity for the benefit of 2.3 million people in Apurímac, Arequipa, Lima and Puno.
Five bidders are prequalified to submit technical and financial offers for the units comprising Group 3: “New Palca 220 kV Substation, LT 220 kV Palca-La Pascana (Arequipa)”; “220 kV Planicie – Industriales Link (Lima)”, “138 kV Abancay Nueva – Andahuaylas Link (Apurímac)” and “138 kV San Rafael – Ananea Branch Link (Puno)”.
Likewise, it is planned to award the Longitudinal de la Sierra Section 4, which will cost US$ 1,582 million and will benefit 1.6 million inhabitants in Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho and Apurímac.
The project has seven bidders eligible to submit technical and economic proposals, and includes 955 kilometers of road, of which 627 km will receive initial periodic maintenance, 148 km rehabilitation and improvement, and the construction of the San Clemente Bypass in Ica (5 kilometers); the remaining section will be delivered by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) for operation and maintenance from the start of the concession.
Just like the Ancón Industrial Park (PIA), which requires an investment of US$997 million and will promote the consolidation of the productive and logistics corridor between Lima, Callao (Port and Jorge Chávez International Airport) and Chancay (Port) to generate an integrated ecosystem in which small, medium and large companies develop synergies and new industrial, commercial and technological relationships.
In 2025, PROINVERSIÓN seeks to strengthen investor confidence and enhance a model of effective collaboration between the public and private sectors, after having closed last year with 16 contracts awarded for US$9 billion, the highest amount in a decade.
