Puerto Rico sets deadline for renewable energy call
Puerto Rico’s energy regulator PREB has set noon of September 1 as the deadline to submit bids for the third tranche of the island’s renewable energy and storage procurement process.
The update follows the posting of the RFP and the power purchase and operating agreement, the energy storage services agreement, and the grid services agreement, while the bid form will be available shortly.
BNamericas previously reported that the watchdog had revised the RFP draft, doubling the proposed capacity and storage capacity to 1,000MW and 500MW, respectively, among other changes.
Contract terms will run 20-25 years, and three to five years for virtual power plants.
The RFP and other documents are available here. The RFP is also available in the Documents box in the upper right corner.
