Puerto Rico utility tenders water, sanitation improvements

Puerto Rico's water authority AAA has published US$10.3mn worth of water and sanitation tenders, according to information from AAA.

The largest tender is for the US$5.46mn construction of a sanitary sewerage system for the Gato and Orocovis wards.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on January 24, 2014 with bids to be submitted by February 20.

The second, US$4.2mn tender is for repairs to the lining of the regulating reservoir in Isabela. Works consist of construction of a bypass line, restoration and conditioning of the existing clay liner and installation of an additional impermeable layer consisting of articulated concrete block and a non-woven geotextile.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on January 10, 2014 with bids to be submitted by February 11.

Finally, AAA has tendered US$645,400 in structural improvements to the Levittown sanitary pump station in Toa Baja, for which a mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on January 17, 2014 with bids to be submitted by February 20.
