On Monday, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro headed the opening of envelopes with the economic offers for the tender for the comprehensive intervention works of Parque España, in Rosario, to which six bidders were presented. The works have an official budget (updated to January) of 23,901,152,638.79 pesos and a construction period of 540 days. In addition, 100 deeds of the Social Housing Securitization Program were delivered to families from 25 neighborhoods in the south and southwest of the city.
The work is part of the Rosario Agreement - which includes 35 works in the city - and includes the reconstruction of the docks; the extension of the esplanade of the Parque de España Cultural Centre to the north; and a paving of interlocking blocks in shades of grey and red. A circular ramp is also planned to connect the high level with the low level. The total surface area of the dock reaches 4,200 square metres, incorporating planters of considerable size, surrounded by benches.
The governor highlighted the importance of the event for two significant reasons. On the one hand, to “open the bids for this work that is so important for the identity of this city and this province” and, on the other, “to deliver deeds to people who worked their whole lives to have their own house and pay for their own house and spent good times there, happy times.” “It is an honor to be here as governor of the Invincible Province of Santa Fe. Little by little, but with a lot of effort, we feel that we are becoming the capital of the interior of the Argentine Republic,” he added.
Then, Pullaro recalled that it was a difficult year and explained: “But we understood that we first had to make an adjustment to the policy to be exemplary and put the State in order and put every resource we could save into public works to carry out a process of reactivation in the province, of development and equality that allows us to live much better.” “Last year we invested 500 million dollars in public works with genuine resources and this year we have budgeted 1.5 billion dollars to carry out public works with our own resources,” he added.
For his part, the mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, highlighted: “This city has an essence that is to make itself.” He also thanked the governor and highlighted: “We have no doubt that in times of so much shouting, the best thing we can do against the shouting is to break our backs, work, be consistent with the history of this city and this province that works, pushes and grows with its own.”
On the other hand, the Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico, explained that the province has 35 projects planned in the city, “some of which are already finished and delivered, such as the Memorial on Salta Street.” He then made a summary of them and announced: “This provincial administration is going to resume the work of the Southern Regional Hospital, which has been abandoned for five years, a great success due to its imprint.”
Finally, the Undersecretary of Public Works of the Municipality of Rosario, Juan Manuel Ferrer, highlighted an important point of the work: “This project is highlighted by an element that is a spiral ramp of more than 250 meters in length that will link the high level of the city with the low level of the dock, strengthening the link between the city and the sector, and improving accessibility throughout the sector.”
The event, which took place at the Center for Contemporary Expressions, was also attended by national deputy Monica Fein; provincial senator for the Rosario department, Ciro Seisas; the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Lucas Crivelli, among other provincial and municipal authorities.
