Quadrem prepares e-billing transition

Bnamericas
The Chilean operation of global mining e-marketplace Quadrem said Monday it is launching a pilot project to incorporate electronic billing into its online transactions, in partnership with local mining companies Codelco and Escondida. Telefonica Empresas and Acepta will provide technology for the new system, the companies said in a statement. The pilot will include suppliers Komatsu Mining Systems, CIMM, Detroit, Ducasse, Abmatic, Aceros Otero and Domínguez y Tecnocomae. The marketplace expects to launch full services in March, after which it will work to get all 600 providers to adopt e-billing. Chile's tax office (SII) launched e-billing last year to remove the clutter from companies' billing and tax payment processes.
