Repsol inaugurated its first charging station for electric vehicles in Peru, located in San Isidro (corner of Guardia Civil and Parque Sur avenues) and which has technology that allows for one of the fastest recharges in the city.
“The inauguration of our electric station marks a significant step in Repsol's commitment to having a multi-energy offer consistent with the company's energy transition objective and to offering various energy solutions that satisfy the needs of our customers. The electric car fleet in Peru is growing and that demand is what we seek to satisfy from a station located in a strategic point in Lima and with quick access for electric vehicles,” indicated Ricardo Peña, Commercial Director of Repsol Peru.
The Repsol electric station allows users to recharge their vehicles quickly, in a period of 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of charge the battery has at that moment. This time is significantly less compared to conventional electric charging points, which can take up to 8 hours using a household socket.
“Our electric station is an intelligent device that communicates in real time with the vehicle, it also has a capacity of 60 kW, it is very easy and friendly. We have used European standard technology in electrical charging which involves maximum safety measures. This will allow two vehicles to be charged simultaneously. At Repsol we want to continue offering a superior experience to customers, which is complemented by the additional services that our service stations have,” added Ricardo Peña.
As is known, Repsol has been the first global energy company that committed to having net zero emissions by 2050, and in this line it continues to lead various energy transition and emissions reduction initiatives. This milestone is part of the commitments that the company has within its Sustainability Plans.
