Revised Request for Proposals - Amaila Falls Hydro Project

The Government of Guyana (GoG) invites revised Requests for Proposals (RFP) under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model for the Amaila Falls Hydro Project.
A. Generation: Generation for GPL will largely be derived in the future from two large projects:(i) Amaila Falls Hydro Project, with a minimum of 165 MW of generation capacity delivering green energy by 2027 and (ii) Gas-to-Energy Project, which will initially deliver 300 MW of gas-powered generation in 2025; at pipeline full capacity, this increases to 700 MW+ of gas-powered generation.
B. Transmission: The Amaila Falls Hydro Project will integrate and expand the national grid, to include Linden. The Amaila-Linden-Georgetown transmission voltage will be 230 KV and connect to a national (GPL) Control Center at Eccles.
