Roundup: Wi-Fi in Cuba, Digicel, Bravo

Residents of the Cuban city of Camagüey now have access to a new Wi-Fi hotspot, according to a local news source.
The hotspot can be found in the El Legendario café and is the first in the country not located in a hotel, airport or public square.
The move is part of Cuba's new approach to digitalizing society and is the first in a series of internet-centric developments expected to occur across the country this year.

Communications and entertainment provider Digicel is rolling out the Bravo channel to more Caribbean clients through its Digicel Play service.
Bravo will be available with all Digicel Play packages in Anguilla, Dominica, Montserrat, Nevis and the Turks and Caicos Islands over the coming months, according to a company press release. The channel is already available in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
"Until now, the rights to transmit Bravo were unavailable in the Caribbean. We have been working closely with NBC Universal to secure the Caribbean rights for all customers across the region," said John Suranyi, CEO of Digicel Play for the Caribbean and Central America.

Barbados is reacting positively to Digicel Play, with "thousands of customers" signing up since its launch in early March 2015, according to Digicel Barbados CEO Conor Looney.
"It is reassuring that we can see that customers who are experiencing the best service now, are then telling their friends and their families this is something better than what they have experienced before," said Looney during an interview with the Barbados Advocate.
