Puerto Rico's water utility AAA has published two tenders worth US$11.1mn, according to a release from the AAA. The first tender refers to rehabilitation works for a group of filtration plants in the east region with an expected cost of US$2.04mn. A pre-bid meeting will be held on November 7 and bids must be submitted by November 29. The second tender concerns construction of a sanitary sewer system in Vega Baja at an expected cost of US$9.05mn. The portal brings together information about water infrastructure works, availability and quality of water, meteorological forecasts and application processes for water users. *** Municipal governments in Mexico's Morelos state have agreed to join forces to create inter-municipal companies charged with water and waste management, according to a release from the state government. The municipal governments will work with the state water commission and public works authority to create joint companies responsible for the operation of wastewater treatment plans, the supply of potable water and the installation of solar powered public lighting. State governor Graco Ramírez hopes that the collaboration will ensure improved public services and more sustainable finances for key services, according to the release.
