Bolivia's government is in talks with the armed forces to install VNG supply infrastructure on military land to cover demand, in particular in capital La Paz, state news agency ABI quoted President Evo Morales as saying.

There are only six pumps in La Paz, compared to 77 in Cochabamba and 106 in Santa Cruz, said the report, citing hydrocarbons and energy ministry data.

Peruvian authorities will hold an EIS public hearing next month for a development well project in the country's northern Piura region.

Graña y Montero Petrolera filed an EIS earlier this year with the energy and mines ministry to drill 37 wells at block V. The hearing is scheduled for August 28.

In a letter to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the US Department of Defense Siting Clearinghouse said there will be no impact to military testing, training or operations as a result of the Puerto Rican LNG project being developed by Aguirre Offshore Gasport.
