Roundup: CDM request, debenture offer, nuclear ban, renewables promotion

TÜV Rheinland filed a CDM registration request with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change for Inversiones Hidroeléctricas' 5MW Nicaragua hydro El Diamante which would offset an estimated 14,393t/year of CO2 emissions.

Belize Electricity opened a BZ$25mn (US$12.4mn) series 6 debenture offer that will earn 6.5%/year through 2030. "Proceeds from this debenture offer are being used to refinance the company's BZ$24.8 million series 3 debentures," the company said in a statement.
