Chile oil refinery infrastructure 

Chile’s national oil company Enap is seeking a contractor to carry out maintenance work.

A tender was launched for the project, which involves assets operated by the company’s storage and pipeline department.

Bidding rules can be obtained until June 16, according to an Enap notice.

Argentine pipeline construction 

Argentina’s national oil company YPF launched a US$2.5bn tender to build the export-focused Vaca Muerta Sur oil project, local media outlet Más Energía reported. 

The project involves building pipeline infrastructure between the Neuquén basin and a planned oil terminal at Punta Colorada, Río Negro province, a zone capable of receiving very large crude carriers and where LNG exports are also envisaged to start.

YPF has broken the work down into various stages. 

A US$130mn first phase, involving a 127km stretch of new oil duct between Loma Campana in Neuquén province and Allen in Río Negro, is under construction.

YPF is working to boost production of shale oil in the Vaca Muerta play, with the export market fixed in its crosshairs.

YPF officials have previously said they were in talks with other producers about getting involved in the project, expected to have initial dispatch capacity of around 360,000b/d. With additional infrastructure, this would climb to 700,000b/d, according to a recent YPF presentation.
