The transparency committee of Guatemala's congress presented a report on the feasibility of 180MW hydro project Xalalá.

"The study carried out by this committee reveals that the contract between the Brazilian company and Inde should be declared invalid and void, which is why we have presented claims against those that signed this contract for noncompliance of duties, fraud and illicit gain," a congressional statement quoted committee president Amílcar Pop as saying.

The report will be sent to Inde and those in charge of the project.
