Mobile subscribers in Argentina sent 10.5bn SMSs during February, a 25.9% increase compared to the same month in 2012, national statistics bureau Indec said. The figure also represents a 6.9% decrease from the previous month. During the first two months of the year, the number of SMSs sent expanded 28.6% compared to the year-ago period. *** Ratings agency Fitch has raised Brazilian telecoms operator Algar's long term national rating to AA-(bra) from A+, Fitch said in a statement.
