Argentine ISPs with more than 50,000 internet accesses accounted for 84.7% of total internet connections in the country at end-Q1, statistics bureau Indec said in a statement. Meanwhile, ISPs with broadband accesses ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 represented 13.3% of total residential internet accesses, the bureau said. Smaller operators accounted for the remainder. *** The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC), a Cable & Wireless Communications business, has been recognized at the Global Telecoms Business Awards in London, the telco said in a statement. The city of Buenos Aires was the district with the highest number of corporate broadband connections, followed by Buenos Aires province, with almost 315,000.
