The Ministry of Public Works and Communications ( MOPC ) issued the order to begin paving works on route PY15, specifically the third section of the Bioceanic Corridor. Of these, 220 kilometers correspond to the main corridor, while the rest is intended for road improvements in Mariscal Estigarribia and Pozo Hondo, including access roads, urban crossings and collector roads.

With the start of the main works, a significant “spillover effect” is expected in the area, generating direct and indirect jobs and boosting trade and services.
