Shearwater Geoservices submits best bid for Petrobras seismic services
Shearwater Geoservices do Brasil made the best bid in a Petrobras tender for seismic services off Brazil’s southeast coast.
The company’s bid was 487mn reais (US$105mn), beating proposals submitted by Magseis Tecnologia de Exploração de Reservatório de Petróleo do Brasil (492mn reais) and PXGEO do Brasil (537mn reais).
The proposals are being analyzed by Petrobras, which may negotiate the prices with the bidders. In case the parties do not come to terms, the process could be canceled and a new round be launched.
The work includes the acquisition of 3D data with ocean bottom nodes (OBN), gravimetric and magnetometric data in the Berbigão, Sururu and Atapu fields, in Santos basin.
Water depths in the areas vary between 1,900m and 2,400m. Three FPSOs operate in the region: P-68, P-70 and P-75.
The contract is for 820 days.
In 2021, Shearwater carried out a survey with OBN in the Parque das Baleias and Albacora-Marlim-Voador projects in Campos basin.
