Shell to export oil from Bijupira-Salema

Due to the lack of an agreement with Brazilian oil giant Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras), Shell will be exporting the oil it extracts from the Bijupira-Salema field in the Campos basin. Shell operates with an 80% participation at the field, compared with Petrobras's 20%. Shell has already sent oil tankers abroad with oil from Bijupira-Salema - which began producing in August. The field produces around 50,000 barrels daily and is expected to produce 70,000 by the end of the year. by Nicola Pamplona
