The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reports that 149 contracting procedures are in process for the National Highway Conservation Program with an allocation of 2,696.9 million pesos.
The amount represents 27 percent of the resources already released by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) for this purpose, for a total of 10 billion pesos.
The tenders for the contracting of these works have already been published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), so they are expected to begin in early March of this year.
The Secretariat headed by Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina plans to carry out 574 works and services in road infrastructure, through 520 tenders.
These include the 149 tenders mentioned for 2,699.9 million pesos, in process, and additionally, another 140 tenders are contemplated with an investment of 2,466.9 million pesos.

The above is to carry out reconstruction work on bridges and sections due to the damage caused by Hurricane “John” in the state of Guerrero in 2024.
For emergency care in this region, to date there are 9 contracting procedures in process with an allocation of 335.0 million pesos, which represents 69.57 percent of the total.
This subprogram includes 54 works or services through 21 tenders, including 9 that are in process with a budget of 335 million pesos. And 4 additional ones are planned with resources of 10 million pesos.
