Sites Latam plans US$150mn capital increase

Mexico-based Sitios Latinoamérica will increase its capital by 3bn pesos (US$150mn).

Operating as Sites Latam, it is the telecommunications infrastructure company that was spun off from Mexican telco América Móvil.

At a general meeting, shareholders decided to issue 1bn series B-2 shares at a value of 3 pesos each.

The voting right shares will be offered to existing shareholders, the company said in a statement.

Sites operated 35,778 telecommunications towers at the end of June, an increase of 1,538 sites compared to end-June last year.

The company's Q2 revenues amounted to 3.67bn pesos, of which 2.27bn pesos corresponded to infrastructure rental income.
