Skandia given final approval to act as fund broker

Mexico's banking and securities regulator CNBV has given the local subsidiary of Swedish financial advisory firm Skandia approval to operate as an investment fund broker, local daily El Financiero reported. Skandia Mexico - which specializes in financial advisory services for clients who want to meet long-term retirement, education or investment goals - will sell four international funds and seven domestic investment funds. The company's three lines of business are investments for individuals (mutual funds), savings products with a life insurance feature, and corporate pensions.
