Altice Dominicana, a subsidiary of Altice Group, invested 50.9 million euros (US$56.2mn) in tangible and intangible assets in the Dominican Republic in the first six months.

Including working capital, investment was 62mn euros, a decrease of 8mn euros a year ago, according to the company’s latest financial reports.

In the second quarter, investment reached 33mn euros, down 1.9%.

Revenues reached 280mn euros, with 165mn euros coming from the mobile market, 50.6mn euros from the fixed market and the balance from other business sectors.

In Q2, revenue was 141mn euros, down 4.6%. 

More than 1mn homes were connected to fiber optics in H1, with 230,000 customers using the technology. 

Fixed service customers totaled 337,000. 

Altice Dominicana reported 2.6mn prepaid and 688,000 postpaid mobile subscribers.

The firm has a 33% share in the mobile and a 25% share in the fixed internet market. Its competitors are Claro and Viva in the mobile and fixed markets, and in the ISP market, it competes with Aster and firms like Wind and Starlink.
