Colombian insurer Aseguradora Solidaria has invested 2bn pesos (US$771,000) in an effort to strengthen its position in the local market and reach low-income families, local press reported. "We are working hard in working class areas to offer low-income families the possibility of obtaining insurance, especially for young children," Solidaria president Carlos Arturo Guzmán said. The insurer offers low-income families a 150,000 peso insurance plan that provides access to all of the company's insurance products. Aseguradora Solidaria offers general insurance products, such as auto, with 42% of its sales, personal insurance with 22% as well as life insurance with 20% along with other general insurance products.
