Southern Cone tender update watch
State company Energía Argentina pushed back to Friday the opening of bids in a tender for gas pipeline measurement and chromatography components.
The tender is among various for Argentina’s planned Vaca Muerta gas pipeline. Bids were originally due Wednesday.
A similar tender had been launched earlier in the year. One party bid but the offer was not admissible because not all information requirements were met, according to Energía Argentina documents.
The company recently put out to tender a contract for compressors for the planned Tratayén and Salliqueló compression stations. Tender processes for components such as valves have also been launched.
The government wants to bring the first phase of the project online by around the middle of next year. Construction contracts have already been signed.
Involving around 600km of ducts, the first phase chiefly comprises the central pipeline and the Mercedes-Cardales link, infrastructure that would help ease a dispatch bottleneck at the Neuquén basin.
A tendering process for engineering work corresponding to a planned second phase has also been launched.
