Southern Cone watch: Transmission consultancy, grid access rules, distribution work tender
Argentina is seeking a consultancy to provide technical assistance and inspection services for a transmission project.
Federal transmission trust fund Caf launched an associated tender.
The Salta province project involves expansion of a 132kV line between San Agustín and Campo Quijano and construction of substations Campo Quijano and Salta Oeste.
Bids are due by March 29, according to a notice in the official gazette.

Chile’s grid coordinator CEN has updated internal procedures it follows when considering connection requests.
The procedures concern criteria for the application of the open access regime, established in the general law of electric services.
CEN is accepting comments on the changes until February 3.

Uruguayan state power company UTE is accepting until February 17 offers for a distribution system contract.
The project involves low-voltage and medium-voltage work in areas including power lines – overhead and underground – and substations.
The work is planned for three districts, Salto, Paysandú and Tacuarembó.
