Sovereignty Route: MOPC signed contract for Lot 4

The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Ing. Claudia Centurión, signed the contract with the Sovereign Consortium (T&C, Constructora Isacio Vallejos and Rovella Carranza) for the execution of Lot 4 of the emblematic Sovereignty Route, located on the border with Brazil.

Recently, contracts were also signed for Lot 1, awarded for G. 391,554 million to the TC Consortium, made up of Construpar S.A. and Tecnoedil S.A. Constructora, and for Lot 2, whose winner was the TEC Consortium, made up of Ecomipa S.A., Concret Mix S.A. and Tocsa S.A., for G. 349,929 million.

The project includes paving 221 km of the PY17 route, of which 193.3 km correspond to the main axis, 7 km of urban crossings and 21 km of ring roads, connecting Pedro Juan Caballero, Zanja Pyta, Capitán Bado, Itanará and Ypejhú.

The schedule establishes six months for the land survey and appraisal, followed by 24 months for road construction. A maintenance period of 60 months has also been stipulated after the acceptance of the works, ensuring the durability and quality of the infrastructure.

It is expected that around 2,000 people will be directly involved in the construction, while another 6,000 will benefit indirectly. In addition, 1,000 officials will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the road for 5 years.
