Spain’s Cobra secures definitive power concessions in Peru
Peru’s energy and mines ministry has granted definitive power transmission concessions to Concesionaria Línea de Transmisión La Niña.
Madrid-based Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios established the special purpose company for the 500kV La Niña-Piura Nueva (87km) and 220kV Tingo María-Aguaytía (73km) projects.
The ministry’s power director is now authorized to sign the definitive concession contracts.
Concesionaria Línea de Transmisión La Niña already holds the definitive concession for the 220kV Pariñas-Nueva Tumbes (158km) project.
The latest information from energy and mining investment regulator Osinergmin shows that global advancement for La Niña-Piura Nueva, Tingo María-Aguaytía and Pariñas-Nueva Tumbes stands at 88.9%, 86.7% and 98.3% respectively.
Cobra recently qualified to submit offers for a 30-year concession which comprises the 220kV Palca substation and Palca-La Pascana line, the 220kV Planicie-Industriales link, and 138kV links Abancay Nueva-Andahuaylas and San Rafael-Ananea.
