Spanish group secures land rights for 401MW Peru solar project
Peru's energy and mines ministry granted permanent easement for the dispatch component of a 401MW solar project in the southern region of Arequipa.
The land rights are for Energía Renovable La Joya's definitive concession for the 9km, 220kV Jade-San José transmission line which will connect the developer's Illa photovoltaic park to the national grid.
Energía Renovable La Joya, controlled by Spanish Group Enhol, requested the easement in November 2023.
Information from energy and mining regulator Osinergmin shows that construction of Illa began last October and that operations are penciled in to begin at year-end.
The ministry also granted cement company Yura a definitive renewable energy resources concession for the 31.7MWp Yura solar plant in Arequipa.
Yura requested the concession in September.
