Statement from the National Port Company of Honduras
By ENP
This is a machine translation of the original press release issued in Spanish.
On May 29, 2023, the Managing Minister of the ENP Carlos Bueso signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) to carry out feasibility studies for 4 priority projects for the country, which we state below:
- · Construction project for the bridge over the Alvarado Lagoon (exit from Puerto Cortés).
- · Project on the construction of the bridge over the Alvarado Lagoon (entrance to Puerto Cortés).
- · Project to expand the Canal Seco highway from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.
- · Improvement and expansion of the Port of San Lorenzo.
This MOU does not contemplate payment obligations by the parties. The studies of the aforementioned projects were carried out by the government of Honduras and the ENP.
This administration does not have dark dealings with anyone, as they have wanted to show in smear campaigns against President Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento and Minister Manager Carlos Arturo Bueso Chinchilla, transparency is our letter of introduction, it is the mandate of the people's government .
