SulAmerica chairman praises President Lula

Chairman Patrick de Larragoiti at Brazilian insurer SulAmerica has praised the administration of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for its handling of the macroeconomic situation in Brazil this year, local press reported. Lula's push to reform the country's pension and tax systems had been "great victories", he was quoted as saying. SulAmerica is one of Brazil's largest insurers and Dutch financial services giant ING (NYSE: ING) holds a 49% stake in the company.
