Systems integrator Sky.One looking to double customer base in LatAm
Systems integrator Sky.One is investing to double the customer base of its Integra.Sky platform in Latin America and in the US in 2023, Robson Del Fiol, the Brazilian company's growth manager, told BNamericas.
“Sky.One currently has more than 2,000 customers in over 16 countries, most of these countries in Latin America, in Brazil, Panama and Chile, for example. Specifically using the integration platform, we have customers in the US, Colombia and Panama, in addition to Brazil,” said Del Fiol.
The platform supports companies the integration of different management systems. Sky.One recently completed a milestone integration project involving Salesforce's CRM and SAP's ERP for Panasonic in Brazil. In 2018, Panasonic had already migrated part of its SAP systems to the AWS cloud through Sky.One.
Sky.One carried out similar integration projects with Panama's Jump Digital, in addition to the companies Kestraa, Axion and Tunesoft, among others. The focus of the platform is mid-sized and large companies, according to the executive.

Costa Rican healthtech Huli closed a US$5.5mn pre-Series A round to finance its expansion in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, as well as to improve existing products and services.
The round was led by Intoku Health, a group of US healthcare technology founders and executives, and Carao Ventures, deemed the leading VC firm in Central America, Huli said in a statement.
This is the largest capital investment the company has received since its creation in 2012. Huli’s digital platform connects doctors, hospitals, patients, clinical labs, insurance companies, pharmacy chains and pharmaceutical companies.
The healthtech reports 100 employees in Mexico and Costa Rica offices, in addition to commercial teams in Panamá, El Salvador, Peru, Argentina and Venezuela.

Mexican fintech Kapital raised US$20mn in a Series A round led by Niya Partners and Tribe Capital.
Kapital also secured a US$45mn debt facility from Accial Capital as part of the round, TechCrunch reported.
The round also included the participation of Broom Ventures, FoundersX, True Capital Management, Pioneer Fund, Kube VC, MyAsia VC and angel investor Arash Ferdowshi (Dropbox).
Kapital provides a finance management platform for over 1,000 SMEs in Latin America.

Colombian real estate tech platform Habi secured US$15mn, four-year financing from IDB Invest to support its expansion plans in Mexico.
Ultimately, the structured loan to finance Habi's working capital needs could increase to as much as US$50mn, IDB Invest said in a release.
The deal is IDB Invest’s first investment in a proptech company. According to the multilateral, it underscores “its commitment to promoting the housing market in the region through digitalization.”

Another healthtech, Brazil’s Sami, raised 90mn reais (US$18mn) in a Series B round led by Redpoint and Mundi Ventures.
Alumni Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, Digital Horizon, Tau Ventures, and existing investors Monashees, Mancora Ventures and Valor Capital Group, among other individual investors, also took part in the funding.
The startup developed a platform that facilities health insurance provision for small companies, microentrepreneurs and autonomous professionals.

Finally, Brazilian e-commerce solutions provider Compra Rápida snapped 18mn reais in a seed round championed by US asset manager Olive Tree Capital.
The round also had the participation of Liquid 2, Soma Capital and other investors with minority participation.
The startup's platform speeds up the e-commerce purchasing process with the so-called one-click checkout solution.
