PRESS RELEASE from the Ministry of Economy of Argentina
August 2024

The main objective of the program is to reduce energy consumption in buildings and promote the acquisition of energy-efficient technology, ranging from household appliances to photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters. To achieve this, the agreement with Banco Nación establishes a line of credit with favorable conditions, including preferential rates and the possibility of financing up to 24 interest-free installments for the purchase of selected products at Tienda BNA.

Available Credit Lines:

● Homes: Loans for the purchase of household appliances, gas appliances, materials and equipment to improve the building envelope, with a maximum amount of up to 25 million pesos and a repayment period of up to 5 years with a fixed rate of 43%.

● Companies (SMEs and industries): Credits with a term of up to 10 years and without limit on the amount for equipment and materials that allow reducing losses. Fixed LIP rate of 27% for the first year and then BADLAR.*

All products included in the program will be identified by a special logo that makes them easier to recognize.

Through these agreements, the national government seeks to offer preferential financing conditions for the replacement of equipment, materials and appliances, as well as for the adaptation of buildings to more efficient standards. Future agreements will also include payment plans, rate bonuses and specific conditions adapted to the needs of each segment.

The signing of this Agreement was celebrated at an event at Banco Nación, which was attended by the president of Banco Nación, Mr. Daniel Tillard, and the Undersecretary of Transition and Energy Planning of the Ministry of Energy, Mg. Ing. Mariela Beljansky, as well as businessmen and representatives of sector chambers.

The Government is thus seeking to streamline gas and electricity consumption in order to alleviate the strain on the national energy system and mitigate the impact on both production costs and household and business expenses.
