The Plenary Session of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) issued the resolution through which it determines and records the ruling of Tender No. IFT-13 to grant the use, exploitation and commercial exploitation of the radio spectrum segment available in the frequency band 2483.5-2495MHz for the provision of the Terrestrial Complementary Service of the Mobile Satellite Service. The ruling is in favor of the winning participant with unique folio IFT13-9Q1L, and was notified on November 8 of this year.
During its session on October 30, the Plenary issued a ruling establishing as a condition that the winning participant must meet in order for the Institute to be able to grant him the corresponding concession title, the timely payment of the consideration associated with the offer for Block S for which he was declared the winner.
In accordance with the provisions of Appendix B of the bidding rules, when there is only one highest bid, this will be considered the winning bid for Block S, in accordance with the result of the Bid Submission Procedure held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The total amount of the consideration is 82 million 100 pesos, which must be paid within 30 business days after notification of the respective decision. Once the payment of the consideration has been verified, the Institute will be able to return the guarantee of seriousness to the winning participant and deliver the concession title for commercial use, which will be valid for 10 years.
With this tender, the Institute maintains its commitment to offer radio spectrum to meet the different needs of those interested in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors, promotes diversity and the highest quality of services for the benefit of users, and encourages the efficient use of this scarce resource.
