With the purpose of guaranteeing efficient management of oil and gas reserves and contingent resources in current hydrocarbon contracts and agreements, this Tuesday, August 6, at the ANH offices, the first meeting of the Interinstitutional Hydrocarbons Committee will be held.
The National Hydrocarbons Agency - ANH, will present to the Interinstitutional Hydrocarbons Committee the roadmap and strategic line that the entity has designed in coordination with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and other entities, for the development of actions that allow increasing the hydrocarbon reserves in Colombia and thus guarantee the commerciality of oil and gas volumes.
This committee is derived from the 13 measures adopted by the ANH and the Ministry of Mines and Energy in the Reserves and Resources Report (IRR2023), whose objective is to make the management of the country's resources and reserves more efficient.
“ With the Interinstitutional Hydrocarbons Committee, we seek to coordinate entities, unions and public and private institutions to carry out actions that allow the country to increase its reserves and production in the short, medium and long term. Together we will continue to guarantee the supply of hydrocarbons that the country requires ”, Orlando Velandia Sepúlveda, president of the ANH.
Currently, the Committee is made up of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of the Interior, Colombian Geological Service, National Environmental License Authority, UPME, CREG, Ecopetrol, Naturgas, ACP , Campetrol, ACIPET and the National Hydrocarbons Agency.
We are at a crucial moment to work collectively, in a coordinated and efficient manner to guarantee the country's energy security, in order to contribute to the Just Energy Transition process.
