Tarija, April 15, 2025. With the commitment to strengthen telecommunications in Tarija, the national government, through ENTEL SA, will install 26 new Radio Base Stations in 2025 with the execution of the IRB IV and V Radio Base Communications Installation project, with an investment of more than 59 million bolivianos.

These new antennas join the more than 600 existing antennas in the department of Tarija, consolidating the company's position as a leader in the region.

From 2021 to January 2025, 160 base stations were installed, with a significant impact on connectivity in rural areas, where 70% of the new antennas were installed. This has reduced the digital divide and generated new development opportunities in previously isolated communities. In urban areas, the remaining 30% have improved the quality of mobile services in response to growing user demand.

Currently, Tarija has more than 419,000 mobile phone customers, an increase of 98,000 users since 2021. Regarding fixed internet services, more than 42,000 active Fiber Optic Home connections reflect significant growth, with 22,000 new connections in the last four years.
