Three groups after Peru gas distribution infra contract
Peru’s energy and mines ministry received three offers to carry out projects in the Suroeste natural gas distribution concession area.
The planned infrastructure includes 150km of polyethylene distribution network (US$15mn) and 7,058 connecting pipes (US$1.35mn) in the southern regions of Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna.
The bidders for the 10-month contract were Consorcio A.C. (Alfa Co-Construredes), Natural Gas Company (Nagasco) and P.A. Peru, procurement information shows. Awarding is scheduled for next month.
The works fall under the Bonogas program which finances the installation of residential gas supply and is supported by social energy inclusion fund FISE. A similar call is underway for Quillabamba in Cusco region.
National oil company Petroperú operates the Suroeste concession under a temporary contract.
