Tidelands starts gas sales

The Reef International subsidiary of Texas-based Tidelands Oil and Gas has started natural gas transport from its US$8mn US-Mexico pipeline, the company announced Tuesday. A ceremony November 7 will formally mark the pipeline opening. Pipeline infrastructure includes a 12-inch diameter natural gas line and two 6-inch diameter lines capable of carrying 40,000 barrels a day butane and propane. The pipeline taps into an Aquila-owned line on the US side, linking to terminals in Mexico to serve residential clients of distributor Conagas. The project is a joint venture with Oklahoma-based Impact Energy Services/GHK.
