Touchstone eyeing over 200 drill sites in Trinidad

Touchstone Exploration has identified 205 development and 24 exploration drill locations in Trinidad and Tobago, according to CEO Paul Baay.

The executive made the comment during the presentation of the company’s five-year plan which looks to increase production through well optimization and enhanced oil recovery projects.

He said that Touchstone’s gross facility capacity stands at 42,333boe/d and that current output reaches 10,000boe/d.

One of the operator’s flagship projects is the Ortoire onshore block, home to the Cascadura and Coho production facilities. Cascadura has a gross capacity of 200Mf3/d (million cubic feet per day) natural gas and 5,000b/d associated liquids, and Coho boasts gross capacity of 24Mf3/d natural gas.

Upcoming milestones highlighted by Baay include the execution of the Cipero onshore license, closure of the asset exchange agreement to acquire onshore blocks Rio Claro and Balata East, and finalizing talks with the energy ministry for the Charuma onshore block.
