Tower One ends H1 with 66 new towers deployed in LatAm

Tower One Wireless deployed seven towers in Latin America in June, ending the first half of the year with 66 sites delivered to telcos in the region.

The figures compare to 20 towers added in June last year and 73 throughout the first half of 2023.

As a result of June’s deployments, the Latin America-focused Canadian wireless infrastructure firm closed the half with 571 sites in operation in Latin America, up from 421 a year ago, and 620 tenants.

The towers added this June were in Colombia, its prime market in Latin America. Tower One’s other two main markets are Ecuador and Mexico.

They were activated for telcos in the Cauca (2), Huila (2), Nariño, Antioquia, and Tolima departments, the company's monthly report said.

All of them are in rural areas and are macrotowers, taller than 48m.

The company's main clients are Telefónica, tenant at 43% of active sites, Tigo (32%), WOM (17%) and Claro (5%).

Other clients include Altán, DirecTV and CFE.
