UK govt. launches US$89mn fund

The UK government has launched its 50mn-pound (US$88.8mn) Global Opportunity Fund, which makes financing available to non-government organizations (NGOs) for projects including climate change and energy. The fund awards financing to the best project from those submitted from around the world.
