Brazil's petrochemicals firm Unipar has started a 180mn-real (US$71.2mn) placement of non-convertible debentures, the company announced. Unipar is offering 18,000 debentures priced at 10,000 reais each. The company will pay 105.5% of the overnight interbank rate. The debentures will mature in six years. Unipar President Roberto Garcia has recently said that the proceeds will be used to fund investments by Polietilenos União, one of Unipar's wholly owned subsidiaries.
