Ursea approves VNG regulations

Uruguay's utilities regulator Ursea has approved regulations governing the transportation, supply and use of vehicular natural gas (VNG) that will take effect from March 31, 2004, Ursea said in a statement. A public consultation process was held from August to September this year during which Ursea received 15 contributions from "a wide spectrum of actors in the sector, reflecting the points of view of eventual consumers, businessmen, technicians, consultants and academics," the statement said. Contributors included Shell, Ducsa, Conecta, Gaseba, Unit, Uruguay's engineers association, and the Uruguayan vehicular natural gas chamber.
