Usiminas Q2 net earnings due Aug.11

Brazilian flat steelmaking group Usiminas will announce its second quarter net earnings on Wednesday (August 11), a company spokesperson said. Usiminas posted a net profit of 358mn reais (US$121mn) for the first quarter, up 1% from 356mn reais in 1Q03. Belo Horizonte-based Usiminas is Brazil's largest steelmaker, with a 9.3Mt/y capacity.
