Vivo launches self-monitoring residential service, advances in smart home segment

Vivo announced the launch of a residential self-monitoring service for end-consumers, with monthly fees starting at R$16.00. With this new service, customers receive one or more cameras at their address to monitor what is happening in their home in real time directly on the Vivo Smart Home app.
The new service, which can be purchased by Vivo Fibra subscribers, is an advancement in Vivo's positioning in the smart home segment. The company already offers a broad portfolio of smart devices, such as lamps, cameras, voice assistants, sensors, among others, as well as installation services for these devices.
“We want to offer our customers the convenience of hiring a service that allows them to monitor their home routine in real time, even when they are not around. We understand that this service brings peace of mind in many situations, such as monitoring the routine of the elderly or on short trips, to monitor pets, or the vacation home when they are not there,” says Márcio Samis, Director of Smart Home and New Business Development at Vivo.
The service, which is accessed through the Vivo Casa Inteligente app, includes a camera with two-way audio – which allows you to listen to and interact with the monitored environment – as well as storage space and access to recordings, which are available for three days. Through the app, customers have access to live images and the recording library, as well as camera settings. The monthly fee is paid directly on the Vivo Fibra bill, eliminating the need to use a credit card, and, upon subscribing to the service, customers receive the cameras at their address.
The new product is available in two offer options. In the first, the consumer chooses between one or two cameras with live images, for, respectively, R$ 16.00/month and R$ 32.00/month. The second offer includes live images and cloud recording (available for 3 days), also with one or two cameras, for, respectively, R$ 30.00/month and R$ 60.00/month.
