BRAZIL

The national government has allocated some 82mn reais (US$$21.8mn) to be invested in the potable water system in Adutora do Agreste in the northeastern state of Pernambuco.

The governments of Mexico City and Mexico state signed a protocol agreement with water authority Conagua for the regulation and discharge of rainwater and wastewater in the Mexico valley.

The former administration of Conagua launched construction on some 52 flood-control works without previously carrying out the relevant studies, according to federal auditor ASF.
